Please allow me to introduce my beautiful new daughter who arrived (very appropriately some have said) on Halloween.
I just thought I’d do one final shout out and advertise our new site & blogathon. We are still looking for volunteers to write about a Robert De Niro film. The only stipulation is that it has to be one of his films you’ve never seen before.
As I mentioned earlier, my new Robert De Niro inspired site You Talkin’ To Me? I’ve started with Mark is now open for viewing. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up and checked us out, we are very grateful. The next step is starting a project and ideally getting you lovely people involved.
Towards the end of July 2012, I started this little blog with the aim of sharing my thoughts on some movies, kind of in the hope that one or two people somehow stumbled across it. And here I am, some twelve (ish) months later. Since I basically lost August this year due to WordPress issues and couldn’t post, I’m finally able to congratulate myself on lasting a year (give or take).
I haven’t done anything like this before really. Whilst I’m busy behind the scenes purging my site of the IMDb reviews, I just couldn’t let the sad news of James Gandolfini passing away without offering my thoughts on it.
Howdy folks. Recently I’ve been struggling for motivation to continue my work here. With my new son/daughter due in a few months (currently the size of a turnip FYI) I have been trying to visualise still finding time to write. I think I can still make time for it, but my issue is motivation.
I’m proud to announce that my beautiful wife is just over 3 months pregnant with our first child!! I know that this is a movie blog, but I feel as though some of you virtual cyber friends would maybe like to hear my news. And if not, I’m telling you anyway! :)
Thanks to some of you crazy fools, I’m proud to announce that I have been nominated for 3 Lammy Awards! This was truly a pleasant surprise, and I just wanted to say a few quick words about these nominations.
Hey folks, hope you all had a great Easter weekend. I took some time away from the blog and I’m back and raring to go. Lets start with my entry into a blogathon currently doing the rounds. My good friend Sir Phobos from Knights of Mars Roundtable kindly chose to make me do some work for him, so let’s do this!
Hey folks. I just wanted to use today’s post to update you on a few things happening around these parts, and then talk about a project on the horizon in which I may be asking for volunteers.
