I’m going to throw out an educated guess that because the majority of my readers are film fans, at some point in your lives you will all have done what I’m here today to ask you.
You know that point in your life when you finally start seeing someone, and then years later that special someone becomes your husband/wife/partner/friend with benefits etc? Well, today I want to find out what the first film was that you went to see together was. It can be your first date at the cinema. Or maybe you set the mood at your house and cuddled up to watch something on Betamax, VHS, DVD or Blu Ray? Regardless of where you watched it, I would love to hear what the film in question is, and why you chose that if you can remember.
The reason I ask is because I will never forget mine. I can’t remember the exact reason why I chose this film, but for our first date my now wife and I went to the cinema to watch Pitch Black. That was in the year 2000, and here we are 13 years later, still together and married. Obviously Vin Diesel played a big part in that. No idea why I picked such a film, and more importantly why the girl would agree to go with me and see it. I imagine it was something to do with me thinking it would be scary, and you know, girls like to cuddle up when they get scared. If I had to guess how the young me might of thought.
EDIT: As my wife has politely commented below and reminded/embarrassed me, after the movie I drove her home and my car broke down outside her house. Her dad came out to fix it. Not the ideal way to meet the parents but it’s all worked out somehow
So what’s yours? I’m expecting some sweet romantic stories here, and some that have no real reason behind them a little like mine. But what was your First Date Movie?

Husband number 1 was Audrey Rose; husband number 2 (still in post) was Jurassic Park.
This is what I hoped would happen with this question – the randomness of everyones films makes it great! 2 very different films there……..Jurassic Park is a great date movie!!
Lol, it was Dinner for Schmucks and it was a horrible choice. In my defense I was in high school and was a bit of a dumbass. Now I’m a dumbass with slightly better sense for the appropriate-ness of movies for different occasions
Haha, nice!! I was very excited to see that movie but it wasnt quite there. I digress, thats a fun date choice at least! I’m waiting for someone to say Date Night! Cheers Andy
I have shut out a lot of my history with my ex-wife. Trying to think back as to what the first film we watched together was …. nope … then the sociopath – we never watched anything together as she didn’t want to be in the room that my kids used. She didn’t like them
Probably for the best you blanked those memories out! How about the first movie you made your kids watch, then you can join in!
Took my kids to the cinema to watch Shrek. It was to make sure my son could sit through the movies before going to see Revenge of the Sith a couple of weeks later on opening night
Poor lad being subjected to Star Wars….
Thanks for joining in Alastair
It all started from the moment he popped out and the first thing I said – while the umbilical chord was still attached – “My god, he looks like Yoda” He took after my love of Star Wars
And I’m sure you remind him of that loving compliment all the time!! Brilliant
I do indeed
Lol, as long as he doesn’t still look like Yoda otherwise there could be some expensive therapy bills coming your way one day
The only first date to the cinema was with an ex of mine and we went to see the first LoTR rings film. Think I was only about 16 and all nervous and I don’t think I saw much of the film ifyaknowhatimean!?
Thats a long film to be ‘busy’ for Chris
You realize youre basically asking me to tell people how old I am, right?
*sigh* Alright, it was War Games, with Matthew Broderick.
Oh yeah, for sure it’s my sly way of finding out all your ages!
It could be a really old movie you watched recently on Blu Ray. No clues for your age there!
Wow you are old……..I kid. Thanks for sharing Fogs, that was such a good film
LOL. Dick
Haha, you know it
The first thing we ever saw together was U-571 – and we loved it!!
I had you pegged for an old horror movie!! I knew it would be random though lol. Cheers Eric
Cheers!! My wife has never liked horror – we also very rarely ever fight and the only fight I can ever remember us getting into over 14 years was when I tried to “make” her watch The Blair Witch Project on cable and I acted up and pissed her off : (
That sounds like a good fight! I can see you throwing a tantrum! I’ve been doing the same recently and spent weeks trying to convince my wife to watch I Saw The Devil. She finally relented and didnt like it. Seems like I wasted a lot of time!!!
Has she ever watched The Blair Witch yet?
Nope!!!!
LOL – she isnt missing much to be fair! I love that she has stayed firm though and not caved in to your sulking
LOL!!
I don’t remember my first, but the last I can remember would be ‘Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs’ but I wanted to see ‘District 9′
So many dates you can’t remember eh Tim. I hear ya
Sounds like you did the honourable guy thing and got forced into that movie. District 9 is obviously a better watch though
‘So many dates’ I wish haha
I was the honorable guy, I am a gentleman
Nothing beats a gentleman
although I bet you were pissed off and secretly dying to go watch district 9 instead!
Oh I saw it the next day with mates
Perfect solution
I don’t know why I didn’t have LOTS more boyfriends because I’d totally choose to go to things like District 9.
Great movie!
I remember the first movie date with my wife. It was S.W.A.T. and the fact that it was a first date movie is the only reason it’s memorable. What an awful film.
We went to see that too when it first came out, I was dragged. It was terrible I agree, but she loved it (or more specifically Colin Farrell).
Thanks for sharing Dusty
Blood Diamond with my ex. I know, I know, pretty hard going. Perhaps wasn’t the best choice.
I own it but still haven’t watched it……….
At least you got to stare at Leo
Thanks for joining in!
Interesting movie, a favorite of mine to be sure, for a first date, Tyson. However, the results, film-wise and date-wise, must have made it so very memorable. Mine was ‘Empire of the Sun’.
Yeah, if anything at least we both liked the movie. Seen it a few times since. Not an ideal date movie looking back, but it seems to have worked for us!
Empire of the Sun is a great choice though. Like mine, maybe not a romantic option but such a good movie!! Thanks for playing buddy
It was a random choice and I still don’t know why we went for Pitch Black. Not the best film but the cinema was packed so must of seemed good. You forgot to tell everyone how afterwards you drove me home but your car broke down. So not only was it our first date but you also had to meet my parents as you needed help with the car
LOL – I have edited the post to put that in now. I forgot that bit. Funny how neither of us remember why we chose it. Worked out ok though wifey x
Our first movie date was M. Night Shayamlan’s Signs – wow that seems a long time ago! Our first dvd movie night in was better though with Casablanca.
So did Pitch Black when I had to double check it was out in 2000!! Signs wasn’t a bad movie as it goes, but yeah Casablanca is probably better! Thanks for joining in Natalie
The first film my wife and I saw in the theater together was Fahrenheit 9/11. Yep, romantic as hell! Haha
Wow that is a romantic documentary to go see!! Haha, brilliant. Thanks for sharing buddy
Great idea for a post, Tyson. And seeing Pitch Black can only lead to good things. Absolutely fantastic film.
Anyways, what the first film me and my now-wife went to see together at the cinema I’m not a 100% sure about. It’s definitely one of two, which we saw in the same week, I just can’t for the life of me remember which one was first.
One is Danny Boyle’s Sunshine, an epic, philosophical, exciting despite a ridiculous finale and thoughtful sci-fi thriller. The other is David Lynch’s Inland Empire, which we saw straight after a long day at the theater university we both attended at the time. Drifting in and out of consciousness due to fatigue while watching something by David Lynch is both the best way to see his films and the absolute worst way to see his films.
Thanks buddy.
We really did like the film, despite it being strange for a first date.
Yours are 2 interesting choices! Very different. I’ve only seen Sunshine once but need to rectify that. Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.
The first date I ever went on was to see Now and Then. In retrospect I don’t think my date picked it to actually watch the movie, but i was pretty dense back then. Right now I have a long distance ‘friend’ and she is loved The Hunger Games, so we saw The Hunger Games as our first date. This year will be The Great Gatsby.
Surely we were all dense and fuelled by something other than common sense on a first date!
Love how you have this years movie planned out already!! Thanks for sharing
First date I ever went on was to see The Ring Two. It’s the only horror movie I’ve ever seen at the theater. I’m not sure why I picked it out, but the nervousness of my first date and the scariness of the movie made me state at the floor the whole time.
Somehow, she still wanted to go on dates with me afterwards haha
At least it worked out! Staring at the floor lol, smooth
Cheers buddy!
When I first started trying to get to date my now girlfriend, we’d have movie night all the time. However, I was pretty stupid in my selections (Casablanca and Once), as they don’t really end with the two getting together (which was my aim).
However, it all worked out. Depending on the time of year, I like to go with either Love Actually or my all-time favorite, The Princess Bride (the true litmus test of any relationship).
Look at you trying to plant subliminal messages when you first start dating. You old romantic! Cheers Nick
Great topic! But, um, I’m embarrassed to answer… It was Highlander: Endgame. Awful! And I chose it. And I’m a girl. Oh well – he still married me anyway. I later proved that I actually have excellent taste in movies.
And to age me I can say I remember my first date movie in high school – Ghost.
Hmmmmm……..I don’t know how to answer this,,,,,,,,,,lol hey, at least he still married you. Sympathy perhaps
Who doesn’t love Ghost though. Such a great movie. Slightly better than Highlander:Endgame some might say
Thanks for playing!
This is an EXCELLENT theme! But it could get some of us guys in trouble. I was a bachelor until age 48 so there were a lot of first date movies. I’m re-racking my brain. Back-back-back-back-back to (theme music up full) the summer of ’56. I was 14, a High School freshman and hopelessly smitten with a gorgeous Red-head named Adele. We went to see “Gaby”, a remake of “Waterloo Bridge”, co-starring Leslie Caron and John Kerr. Hands were held and some tears shed. I was such a sensitive date. But Adele had her heart set on someone else. I was just a nice guy. (Theme music full, fade to black).
Thank you Garry!! I’m not looking to get you in trouble though
Love this story, but not the Hollywood ending. At least you were a nice date! Still, you lucked out and ended up with Marilyn so its all good
Thanks for sharing my friend, always appreciated.
Since my minimalist response didn’t do it for you, here’s more. We went to see Mary Poppins because my first husband (may he rest in peace) was trying to find a movie that seemed appropriate being as he was 8 years older than me. I was celebrating turning 18. HE was celebrating my no longer being jail bait. I don’t think the film itself was our primary focus, though we enjoyed it and sang the songs all the way home. We went to see “Oh What A Lovely War” together too around the same time and I remember “Little Big Man,” “What’s New Pussycat” and “Cat Ballou,” as well as “Cheyenne Autumn” (I wore moccasins, he worr cowboy boots) and “Hour of the Wolf.” We were nothing if not eclectic. But we spent more time going to live theater and less going to movies because I worked in Manhatten and tickets were cheap. You could afford a couple of great seats for less than it costs now to go to the movies. Our son wasn’t born until 5 years later, so we had time to do cool things. After the kid was born, we settled for second run movie houses and visiting friends. Jeff wasn’t a movie OR theatre buff. He was all about radio and electronic media. Garry was Jeff’s best friend and was my son’s godfather, now his stepfather too. Complicated. The first movie I watched with Garry was “Somewhere In Time.” Very romantic. He bought it and brought it over my apartment. It’s still a favorite: love and time travel. What a combo.
Your first response was perfect Marilyn, but this is even better!! Thank you!!
I’m not 100% on this but I believe the first movie my now-wife and I saw at a theater was Evolution in 2001. And she still stuck with me after I picked it! Although I don’t think it was so awful… OK, it was pretty awful. It had a good premise but a really dumb execution. Anyway, I delivered the bomb.
Awesome Jaws reference!
Hey, thats a good movie!!! And she stuck with you. Crazy. Although since neither of you like Ryan Gosling or Drive I will not thank you for sharing this story
Great question. First date ever with anyone was “The Lion King”. First date with my wife was “Toy Story 2″.
Thank you!
Both sweet choices, nice to see some normal films get a mention
The first film I went to see with my wife was Anton Corbijn’s Control. I think she enjoyed it but I remember that I felt ill with nerves throughout! Years ago I went to see Amelie on another date, which I still think of now as the perfect date film. Great idea, great to read what others have said too!
Nerves are pretty distracting. I think thats why I went for a movie that didnt require much concentration. Amelie is a great shout, the French know their romance. Thanks for joining in, glad you liked it
Well, currently I have no husband/wife/partner/friend with benefits (although that latter option sounds most interesting), so I’ll have to tell you about a couple of past theater-going experiences. My first girlfriend and I went to see ‘Back to the Future’ at the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara…a wonderful place to see a movie, and a wonderful, storybook evening out. My second ‘first date movie’, with my second girlfriend, was ‘A Few Good Men’ at the Mann Rancho Bernardo 6, north of San Diego. Another fun, memorable night out, with a woman who’s remained my good friend ever since.
And if anyone does the cinematic math, they’ll see that there was an embarrassingly long gap between my first girlfriend and my second…
Despite your opening line Todd, the rest of this is a great comment!! Love your stories, really sweet, and I’ve put your photo and phone number on a few toilet stalls and internet sites so lets see if the ladies come calling
Thanks as always for stopping by, you always make me smile buddy.
Pitch Black…That was one of the earlier movies I saw on DVD with my boyfriend sometime in our first year and I fell asleep (because of fatigue from long hours of studying for exams). However, my first movie with my boyfriend was The Eye…saw that in the theatres and I chose it because I had told him about how the original was super scary and I wanted to see how the American remake would be. Nice memories
Not a great movie remake but he enjoyed it then (until he saw the original last year)
I love how you got to choose your date movie, your boyfriend I imagine played the martyr and struggled through a Jessica Alba movie lol. Poor soul
I still haven’t seen the original now you mention it!
Seriously Tyson! I think he digs Jessica Alba. However, IF I made him sit through another Jessica, Jessica Biel to be exact, he’d be tortured..I think our relationship would never have started..;)
You should see the original…that movie is mega creepy and I’m saying that from when I wasn’t a chicken for horror movies.
Jessica Biel isn’t too bad……she was great in The Tall Man (if you havent seen my review on the left). I will look up the original, thanks for the reminder Kim
I have seen that review and I will eventually check out that movie without the boyfriend since he cringes when he sees her on screen…
Can’t wait to see your review of the original
Tell him she really is good in that!!!
Mary Poppins. It was my 18th birthday. I married him a few months later!
Fast mover Marilyn
This is what I hoped I would get from this post, a mixture of responses but also the memories people still have combined with a love of film
first date with my partner was to see Little Miss Sunshine.
I haven’t seen it, but I know it’s meant to be a very sweet movie. You steered clear of the cliché men taking women to scary film option
haha, you’re spot on Tyson. A really sweet movie though, you should check it out, definitely an easy watch.
I actually own it, since I love Steve Carrell. I have no excuses other than laziness
Oddly enough the first movie that my now wife and I watched together was American Psycho and it was at her house. She had not seen it before and I’m not sure why we chose it. Not exactly a date movie.
Best comment so far. That is an incredible movie, and I’m still trying to make my wife watch it. She loves Christian Bale and Jared Leto so is only a matter of time. It obviously worked, and you both have excellent taste!! Thanks for sharing, well played sir
Yeah I already loved it and she did too. It was an interesting movie to start a relationship though : )
Interesting for sure!!
First date movie? That would’ve been You Don’t Mess with the Zohan. It started out as just me meeting three friends, all girls, and then two quickly left after realizing the movie was unfunny. Next thing I know, I was dating the girl that stayed behind and in a couple months she dumped me, and was presumably cheating on me… presumably with my best friend. The last movie I saw with her was Yes Man. That relationship was really bookended with shitty movies, wasn’t it? Lol.
Oddly enough, I don’t miss high school.
Also, I just realized that I had a poor taste in film back then. Boy, have I grown.
Sounds like this is bringing back bad memories…….but yes, some shitty movies indeed lol!! To be fair, your taste still blows. You shall burn in hell for your views on LOVE. (I should maybe let that go now, I blame Mark Walker for re-opening my wounds!)
Thanks buddy. Imagine if you picked a better movie though, with 3 girls!!!!
I’m revisiting this post 24 hours later because it is so great!!! The comments are priceless!! I am sitting and laughing OUT LOUD over my 2nd cup of coffee (Me laughing at this moment — a miracle in itself) at Austin and the exchange between Austin and Tyson. You guys could take it on the road!! These first date movie selections are so very interesting. I feel like the Dinosaur that I am by remembering my first date movie from pre-historic **1956**. I just conferred with Marilyn. She reminds me we didn’t go to the movies a lot when we first started seeing each other. Figure that one out, my fellow movie mavens!!
Glad you’re enjoying it Garry!! Really having a lot of fun with this post, so many great choices and stories
Haha, yeah, I’m still friends with her, so everything is good. My views on LOVE are the right views, and they shall never change.
I’m pretty sure the other two girls thought I was gay.
Hmmmm……..Face Off is on the cards about that!
Yeah maybe thinking you were gay isnt the best start, but it’s their loss!
Of all things in the world we landed up going to see The Reaping. I thought it would be awesome, but it really wasn’t…
You poor bastard!
My husband and I didn’t go to the movies together for quite a while when we started dating. We were living in different cities so we didn’t get much time together. I did buy him (500) Days of Summer for a first Valentines present, which was 2 weeks after we got together as a way of attempting to show him I wasn’t traditionally romantic. I probably compounded that by getting drunk a week later and insisting we play the “Penis” game on the train. I won. The first film he made me watch was Star Trek. If I had any idea what level of obsession that was about to reveal…
I don’t know what the ‘Penis’ game is. Probably nothing like Im thinking it is either. But if it resulted in watching Star Trek it cant be a good game……..
Thanks Abbi
It’s where one of you says the word penis and then the other one has to say it a little louder. You go back and forth upping the ante each time until someone chickens out. Apparently I was shouting and he was whispering. My husband has turned me into a full Trekkie.
Haha ok yeah not where I thought the game was heading. Thanks for the clarification! I feel like the whole Star Wars/Trek thing missed me by. But happy your happy
Okay, here I go for a third time!! The “Penis” game??? This is just too funny!! Abbi — you are a GEM!! Geography had NOTHING to do with Marilyn and me not going to movies during our first dates. Remember it was the 60′s and you’ll figure it out if you haven’t already. Marilyn (We are having SO much fun with this one!!) just remembered that I brought a DVD of “Somewhere In Time” over to her place for date entertainment. She says her friends were shocked because they thought most guys visited with cheap wine and a porn movie. Hey, I had class!!
Garry – you are a classy guy!!
No romantic first film dates that turned into a long lasting relationship I’m afraid. But the first film I ever took a girl to was Once Upon a Time in the West. I still remember having to rush to the toilet, which was not in the actual cinema, And when I got back, my date solemnly informed my that I’d missed a full frontal of Claudia Cardinale! I was gutted. Of course, years later I found out that she’d lied! LOL
Not surprised you needed the toilet, thats a long movie!
This is why life before the internet was bad. Now you could google it and see if she was naked
Cheers Mike
LOL!!!
I don’t have a significant other so I’ll replace that with my guy best friend (whom I dated very briefly so it kinda counts?
) – we went to see Skyfall, mostly because he digs Bond and the only other option was Twilight, lol.
I would of preferred Twilight
But that’s nice you saw Bond for him. I imagine it’s not really your kind of film! No crazy dwarves or people slashing each other up
Funny, the comment I received in the notification email was much different than this comment… :-p
And yes, it was quite kind of me because I had actively avoided Bond for a while. It’s okay though – I’m making him watch all sorts of crazy dwarf slasher flicks now.
I know. I typed on my phone on the freezing cold going into work, about wanting more gossip on your real first date. Then WordPress app dicked me about and wouldn’t post it. So I typed a really quick nice one afterwards and that worked dammit lol
Haha, nice wins! And not a lot of gossip – movie, drinks, deep conversation and now he’s one of my best friends.
Fair enough, that’s a nice story. I just hope he likes a certain Ryan Gosling movie
I have no idea. I never mention The Movie Which Should Not Be Named and he hasn’t brought it up. I feel like he would hate it as much as me though…
Then he must be weird too. Perfect match
Surprisingly good one despite the age difference…
You’re not a cougar are you?! I knew it
Technically, I’m too young to be a cougar – I believe the term for me is “Puma” or so I’ve heard.
Ill be honest I don’t know what the difference is. I’m guessing he’s younger? Well played lol. I don’t know what Puma is, I thought if the girl was older shes a cougar, if the guys older he’s lucky
Yeah, he’s younger, lol. My limited understanding of the older woman phenomenon is that to be a “cougar” you’re 40 or up but a Puma would be late 20s into 30s. I haven’t actually read up on this, haha.
Sound like your a pro! He’s not that Harry kid from One Direction is he!?
You know the name of someone in One Direction??? *giggles*
They are headline news and on the front of every magazine here. It’s forced on me lol
Oh you poor guy, lol. I only know the name of the band because my friend’s kid is in love with them all.
Well one of them is always linked to some hot uk celeb. Radio stations love them. Soon enough the next big boy band will arrive and it will be their turn
I’m so glad I missed out on the boy band craze in the 90s, lol.
I heard Eric was in a boy band. True story
Oh dear lord…Isaacs, you care to weigh in on this? Was it like New Kids or Backstreet Boys??
Lol Tyson. In fairness if you play on my team and the older is about double the age of the younger yes he is lucky but he is also a chicken hawk. On other had regardless of the ages or orientation if if works in mind, soul and body then be happy for them. Still when I say to someone special to give me a ring I’m hoping again someday it will be more than phone call.
Chicken Hawk eh? Who comes up with these names!?
LOL
Pink Flamingos is always a good choice
haha
Second was Full Metal Jacket (my choice) at his house, even less romantic!!
My first date film with my boyfriend was The Dark Knight Rises…not very romantic but hey ho! Something worked
Not romantic but at least its a great film! Although Full Metal Jacket is even better, and the fact that you chose it makes your guy very lucky to have someone with such great taste in movies!
Haha! thanks! That’s what I keep telling him
My pleasure
I like this post! My then to be wife and I went to see “Innocent Blood” from John Landis. Can’t score unless it’s a horror flick.
Good thinking Vic!! Has to be horror! Great choice, and thanks for joining in. Cheers
Cronenberg’s Crash – hey, she was a kinky chick!
Haha, excellent! Her choice then was it
Arg hit the back and lost the Kleenex laden date stories. So here goes again. The brother in law of the only woman I almost asked to marry me worked a video store so we saw lots of movies. I was about 25 then. My first boyfriend and I saw The Shadow (1994) at a drive-in. The movie bombed and so did that relationship nine months later. Still you remember your first.
Thanks for joining in buddy. At least you got the perks of free videos to watch!
Shame your film and dating didn’t quite happen as you’d hoped. But at least you remembered the film! For your next date i recommend Drive
Oh I’ve had dates since 1994 and people I’ve seen and would like to see a lot more. I’m not that rusty yet and have plenty of drive LOL.
Haha good to hear! Everyone needs some drive
BTW, I’ve nominated you for a Liebster Award, Tyson. No pressure to respond or take part, but wanted to let you know that I enjoy your writing.
Thank you my friend, much appreciated. I’ll be over to check it out ASAP
This is — I’ve lost count — maybe my 4th comment. So I’m thinking this is a Hall of Fame Post!! A keeper!! It’s fun reading not only the movie choices but the back stories. Maybe it’s a generational thing but I’m surprised there haven’t been more — dare I say it — romantic “first date movies”. You Mavens are the tops!!
Definite Hall of Fame! Glad you keep coming back Garry. So many nice stories, and yeah it seems I wasn’t alone in not choosing a romantic first date movie. We can’t all be as smooth as you!
My first ever date movie was Cast Away. I was so nervous. We did the sweaty palms hand hold for the last hour of the movie. And it was fun! I remember having this ridiculous grin on my face that I couldn’t wipe off, even though the movie had this sad sort of ending.
The first movie I watched with my current boy toy was A History of Violence, at his house. And it was super awkward! Pretty early on there’s a weird sex scene. Which we ensured the duration of while making awkward little quips. We couldn’t take the rest of the movie seriously from that point on.
Cast Away is a nice movie, but History of Violence tops it! You talking about the scene on the stairs? I thought that was weird. Not as weird as the one in Running Scared if you’ve ever seen that…….I digress. Thanks for joining in, great comments!!
*endured! haha we endured the duration of that scene…
I just got engaged yesterday morning, so I can answer this question! The first movie we watched together was “Summer of Sam” on VHS at my house. She hated John Leguizamo’s character right from the get-go. He’s at a club with his wife (Mira Sorvino), and Mira’s cousin, who wants to go home. He volunteers to drive the cousin back, and Mira asks for him to return with a sandwich. Leguizamo screws the cousin in the backseat of his car, before returning to the club, no sandwich in hand. “That no good bastard. All she wanted was a BLT!” my fiance said.
She also thinks “The Shining” is crazy because “LOOK AT THAT CARPET!”
CONGRATULATIONS!!
I did like Summer of Sam, but yeah, she has a point! He is a bastard!
I think she would get along with my wife. All she cared about in Die Hard was that he wasn’t dressed for the occasion, with no shoes and a wife beater on.
Cheers buddy!
Thanks! It really is hilarious to see what obscure detail they get stuck on. To this day, every time I bet on football, I let a woman who knows nothing about the game pick my winners for me. The “I like their red shirts better than those green and white ones the other boys have” method of sports insights always trumps stats and analysis.
Oh definitely. But if they are ugly sports people or have funny names, we mustn’t support them!!
Dead man Walking – the poor girl started swarming when Sean Penn raped and murdered the young couple. We didn’t know each other very well at the time but she must have thought I got off on this kinda stuff. Needless to say we didn’t last very long lol
So she sussed you out and then you got rid of her
I havent seen that film I dont think, and I do love Sean Penn.
Lol. She sussed me out and I had to bump her!
If you like Penn you should check it out man. I’m a big fan also and it’s my favourite performance of his.
We all know you’re like Spader in that car crash amputee film
I will definitely check it out. Love Penn in most things. Just watched The Game as it goes, really like that !!
What? Like Spader humping the open wounds on people’s legs? Thats me! LOL.
Really liked The Game but Penn was very underused in it. Still a great film though.
Haha, thought so!!
I agree he could of had more time, but still loved it
Great topic Tyson, of course you are going to get me in trouble with the misses as I can’t recall the first date film we saw. Txting her now, if I wind up sleeping on the couch tonight I am gonna blame you.
Love me some Pitch Black
Haha i apologize in advance!! Did you remember what it was?!
It is good, and I’m looking forward to the new one! Cheers buddy
The commish says it was Star Wars Episode 1, no wonder I had tried to put it out of my memory.
At least one of you was paying attention!
Red Eye was the movie my wife and I saw on our first date. I’m not sure why now, but it was probably the only one playing at the time we were ready to go to see a movie. We hadn’t planned on seeing one, just a little food and conversation, but as awkward as that night was, we were both enjoying each others company. We didn’t want the evening to end so we opted for a movie.
Finally a nice romantic story
thanks buddy, and Red Eye isn’t a bad film as it goes. I quite liked it anyway
Good movie – still enjoy watching it to this day.
By the way, I’ve had some trouble getting onto your site via Google Chrome. Not sure if others have or not. Just thought I would pass that along.
Keep up the good work.
Really?? I use Google Chrome, not had an issue…..is it just not loading up? Thanks for the heads up, no idea why it wouldn’t be working though
Not sure why it isn’t working. It just gives me the aw snap screen and asks me to reload. Your site is the only one. It works in Firefox so I can just hop over there. No worries.
Odd. Can’t think why only my site?! Thanks for still making the effort.
Sure.
