Alright, so I know I promised there would be no more awards related posts this week, but what the hell, I thought I would sneak this in anyway! 
Andy from Rorschach Reviews is currently running a competition on his site. His readers have chosen a few of their favourite blog sites and the final shortlists have been unveiled. The vote is currently open for people to now go and pick their favourites.
I didn’t want to really do a post dedicated to asking you wonderful people to go vote for me, but since one of the awards I’m nominated for is ‘best networker‘, I figure I should at least give it a go! I am also nominated in the ‘best segment‘ category for my Desert Island project, and most importantly ‘blogger of the year‘. The reason I say most importantly is that the winner of that award actually receives a very generous gift from Andy for a theater giftcard. Very generous I’m sure you will agree. However (and this is where my petition really starts!) I have told Andy that if I win that category (which I doubt I will of course), I would rather he donated the equivalent money of the giftcard to a charity of his choice. If there is ever a good time to be generous then Christmas must surely be it. Andy seemed to be touched by my offer, and has now himself offered to give money to charity if I win ANY of the 3 categories I am nominated in! Thank you Andy, even if I win nothing that’s a very generous gesture dude!
I’m up against some amazing bloggers in these categories, and I’m not using the charity drive as a technique to win (although it may look like that!). I just truly want to try help out anyone who would need the money/charity/help or whatever much more than me. I even posted a damn pet-rescue video on my site last month…….I always want to do as much as I can for charity and if this is another way to help, then I sure as hell will happily ‘beg‘ for votes if it helps someone else out.
That’s my speech, I’m not going to start a war of words with my rivals politics style. Some of them have taken part in my Desert Island project and some are contributors here, so losing to them will still make me proud. But if you can spare 30 seconds to head on over to the link below and vote for me and my site in the 3 categories, maybe we can help some other people out this Christmas and make Andy dip into his pockets for charity!
