My first article has now gone live at WhatCulture! & I need all the help I can get, as the grammar police are already pointing out my typos! If you can spare a minute or two, I would love it if you could read my article and maybe leave me a comment with your feedback over there (unless its bad, then do that here!)
I will massively appreciate all the help and feedback I can get. Thank you!!!
10 Obscure Horror Movies You Need To See

EDIT:
WOW!! Thank you to everyone who has looked at my article so far. Over 11,500 views of it in a day, and it has now made it to the homepage and creeped in at #4 of the Top 5 site-wide posts, which considering the content is something I’m overwhelmed with!
I want to say a special big thank you to Mithil, TSC, Keith, Eric, Leopard, Alley, Vincent, Marilyn, Greg, Sean & James for taking the extra time to post a comment over there. I am humbled by your words and very grateful.
THANKYOU!!!!!!!

It’s lookin good over there man. Great retort to that guys pedantic comment.
Cheers Mark, it’s one of them moments where I try and stay calm in the hope that sensible people will see my maturity but also sarcasm. No point starting a row, always going to be dodgy comments. Thats why I need you good people (hint hint!) to add some more good ones
Thanks #1
Nice list – Stake Land nice to see on there. I stink at grammar so I can’t help you there. I constantly have someone checking my stuff for mistakes. To and Too is an easy one to make so don’t beat yourself up to much on it and that guy who double posted – maybe he should learn how to post.
Haha, thanks buddy. I’m dyslexic which doesn’t help, but I normally triple check everything. My wife checked it, and we have now found 1 too in the wrong place, thats it. Oh well, got some nice comments so its all good. Nearly 8000 views in a few hours, mental really. On the home page now TOO so that is cool.
Good job Ty, grats again for getting the opportunity over there.
Cheers mate, and thanks for commenting over there. Just about to reply, and I appreciate you doing it
Fine list and article, Tyson. ‘Stake Land’ and ‘Splinters’ were a couple of my favorites from the last couple of years. Some of the others I’ve heard about, for sure. Certainly, the French ones (‘Frontiers’, ‘Martyrs’, ‘Inside’). As I’ve gotten older, I’ve steered away from some of the more extreme horror lately. But, to each their own. I have ‘Midnight Meat Train’ somewhere here in the house. I guess I need to get it out — next month sounds good
. Well done.
Thanks very much mate, and for commenting over there, really appreciate it. Aside from picking screeners that I’m one of only a handful of people to have seen, I knew it was impossible to try and find stuff that was good and no one had heard of. So I tried to justify my picks based on financial stuff, as if it has made little sales then surely it’s not seen or known by everyone. But I also wanted to recommend some good stuff. Tricky but the majority of responses have been good, and if it brings people here and gets my stuff seen by enough people then I’m happy. And you should get Meat Train watched, it’s great!! Thanks again
Left my comment over there
Thank you, I really do appreciate it!
Nice job, Tyson. I didn’t notice too many grammar mistakes, though I wasn’t combing through it looking for them. If you ever want someone else to proofread your work, I’d be happy to help. I am trying to get a job as an editorial assistant after all, so it would be good practice for me.
Cheers Vincent. I found one time I used too instead of to, but these things happen and I can’t re edit sadly. Next time I’d love to send you it first to check it over, thanks buddy
Cool. I’d be happy to do so.
I very much enjoyed the article as far as I could read, but had a hard time getting the website to run. May be my antivirus software finds it suspicious. It doesn’t always tell me that it’s having an “issue.” I didn’t spot much in the way of typos, but as the typo queen, I’m hardly the right person to make that call. Just a suggestion, because it’s a mistake I make: Say what you are going to say without saying that you are going to say it. For me it’s a residual from years of tech writing (“say what you are going to say, say it, summarize what you said”). Redundancy is the standard for technical material, but doesn’t work as well for other stuff. Otherwise, you, as always, have a wonderful grasp of your subject matter. Your knowledge of the form shines through which readers want. It certainly is what I’m looking for. I can tolerate all kinds of typographical errors, but not ignorance of the material. I am self-sufficient for ignorance
Thanks Marilyn, not sure why the site wouldn’t work but appreciate you trying to read it.
Appreciate the kind words and will bear in mind your thoughts. I took so long proof reading it but being dyslexic sometimes the odd word evades me, especially when it’s spelt right but used wrong so spell check doesn’t pick it up
Well done, man! And nice comeback too, regarding the commenter who took a swipe at you over that grammatical error. I guess some people fail to grasp how hurtful petty personal attacks can be (especially in a public forum) and just how revealing they are of their own spiteful and toxic mind-sets.
Thanks Greg!! Yeah after seeing what people write on other authors work over there I got away lightly! Some people are so cowardly and hurl insults from behind their computer, but I will try and bite my tongue when it happens, and answer smartly and sarcastically! Glad you liked it, and ultimately the aim is pointing out stuff to people that are interested, and if they listen to my recommendation then it’s all worthwhile. Thanks again buddy

No worries, man – anything to lend a hand. That’s awesome news!
Cheers Greg
You deserve it Tyson! Once again, a fantastic job on the article (I’ve managed to get my hands on The Loved Ones and a couple others – looking forward to them). Good luck in the future with your articles over there, I’m sure they will continue to do well.
Thanks my friend, you are too kind.
I really hope you like them, let me know when you give them a watch. Ill apologise and take full blame if you don’t like them!
Loved it, Tyty!
Thank you Misty
Just caught up with this Tyson – congrats on your 25,000 views! The only one of your top 10 I’ve seen is Stake Land – it was such a refreshing antidote to Twilight. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Natalie! Glad you liked Stake Land, I agree, definitely a refreshing change!! If you ever catch any of the others I’d love to know what you thought of them
